For all you natural sisters out there, I know there be some day when you get a hold of your hair and you be like, "What am I gonna do with this shit today?"Well after looking at my sister beautiful pressed and combed hair for years and my own own ugly permed hair I decided to grow my perm out. I'm thinking since I had beautiful silky curls as an infant, that'll happen again as an adult. WRONG!!! Instead after growing my natural hair for 3 and one slip up and return to perms for nearly a year plus another year and half worth's of natural hair again, I now have this weirdly, nappy wavy/straight kinky shoulder length mess called hair. Don't get me wrong. it looks good when it's pressed and even better when I keep it in micros. But over all its UGLY. I can even where a fro because it doesn't even nap up like a fro. No it does it's own thing. And don't even try to refer me to that hair chart they have on those natural hair sites. None of that shit comes even close to what my hair looks like. When I wash, it does this beautiful wet and wavy thing. Wavy at the roots, soft and beautiful curls on the end. But as it begans to air dry, WOOF. It blow up into this hideous Afro like mass of hair. Once again don't get me wrong, Natural hair is beautiful just not mine.
Then this chick tells me about some curl control stuff. Enter Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding.
Now I know half of ya'll are like what the hell is this? while the other half is smiling and nodding there heads like Girlfriend that stuff is the shit! I can tell tell you right now and cut to the chase: this stuff did not work on my hair. I don't know why. If you read a lot of websites like Afrobella and Nappurality they'll both tell it works for some not everyone. Based on the pictures and videos I've seen on Youtube and Miss Jessies, there are a lot people who say this stuff works. Not to mention if you are interested, you should just search Miss Jessie's on Youtube I guess I should know better considering that this stuff was created by two sisters who happen to mixed with Black and Japanese. But the pictures on their website of females who that there hair almost similar to mine were convincing enough for me. So I went ahead and forked out the the small fortune for the stuff and tried it. I mean it smell nice and you get real excited about it but if you don't have that "good" hair of like 3b and 3c hair, I don't think this stuff will work for you. I figure my self to be in some weird and unique category of 4d and 4e that really don't exist unless specifically applied to my bone head.
I have heard about other products such as KinkyCurly and Carol's Daughter, but given the success of Miss Jessie's, I'm kind of reluctant to try anything else. I guess it's also Mother Nature's way of telling me I am cursed to looking like Muppet for the rest of my life too if I don't hurry up and do something with it. So since I'm too broke to get my hair re braided, I guess it's back to the good ole press and curl for the time being...

Urban Black folks everywhere are celebrating. VIBE magazine is back!
As many of you know, not to long ago Vibe was like look now, it ain't our fault the recession has gotten to us. Blame it on the MAN.I for one am ecstatic. As a matter of fact, I'm still waiting on my last issue to come to my house. I want my magazine! As a young black female, yes I read Esscence and Ebony and JET (or more like skim through them and look at the pictures truth be told). But goodness knows I don't want to read about biggest butt of the moment or hottest chick on the block type deals I'm likely to see in other Urban magazines like KING and the Source. I mean we do need some more hip hop magazines and all but VIBE feels like the original and the one everyone can relate to. They don't need to change nothing. Period. Lately I've been hearing some talk about only new management and all but new issuing preferences too. Quarterly?! Baby Hip Hop don't Stop! I need to see the monthly scoop if not weekly or day to day. But for now it's just the waiting game and we shall see...See what Bossip, and the Daily Swarm have to say about it.
You know what? I have love going online reading blogs about the crazy shit celebrities and random ass people do. I always wanted to have my own website, so after thinking about for awhile, I said, "You know what? I think I want to do that too." And so here it is my commentary on anything that I feel like I just got to put my two cents in...
